   and College-Level tutoring in Math, Physics, and Chemistry every Monday.  Subjects that will be covered include:

   Math: Algebra, Geometry, Pre Calculus, Analysis, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations
   Physics: All High School and College Physics
   Chemistry: High school chemistry
 

No Registration or appointment necessary, however participants must be high school aged or older.

    A representative from Assemblyman Bill Quirk’s office will be available at the Castro Valley Library every first Tuesday of the month from 12 to 2pm to help you resolve California state-related issues. Assemblyman Quirk represents District 20 which includes Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, Fremont, Hayward, San Lorenzo, Sunol, and Union City.
 
The Assemblyman’s representative will work with you to help if you have a problem with a state agency, need legislative information or information about proposed legislation, or just want to express your comments and concerns.

The California Highway Patrol and the Castro Valley Library present Start Smart: Teen Driver Program. CHP officers will discuss traffic collision avoidance techniques, collision causing factors, driver/parent responsibilities, and seatbelt usage. Additionally, testimonies will be provided by officers who have investigated fatal collisions involving teens, and by family members who have lost love ones in traffic collisions.

The Start Smart program is a driver safety education class which targets new and future licensed teenage drivers between the age of 15 - 19 and their parents/guardians.

Assemblyman Quirk represents District 20 which includes Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, Fremont, Hayward, San Lorenzo, Sunol, and Union City.
 
The Assemblyman’s representative will work with you to help if you have a problem with a state agency, need legislative information or information about proposed legislation, or just want to express your comments and concerns.

During this open lab time, you can use the computers to update or create a resume, search for jobs online, or build new work skills.

 Bring your own laptop or use a library laptop equipped with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010. Volunteer instructors are available in the  Learning Center from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. No registration is necessary.
