Preschool Storytime Plus

 Join us for our Winter session of Preschool Storytime Plus. There will be stories, nursery rhymes, finger plays, music and more! Our Winter session will be held on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm from January 15th to February 26th.
For ages 3-6. Registration is required. You can register at the Information Desk or by email.

This one-on-one reading assistance program is for children grades 1-6. It is provided by trained teen volunteers. Choose one from the six reading periods: 3:30-4:00pm, 4:15-4:45pm, 5:00-5:30pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Program runs from the first week of October through the last week of May with some breaks.
Annual registration is required and starts Tuesday, September 4th, 2012.
To register, parents must call or come in person during Centerville Library's open hours: Tue. 1-8pm, Thurs. 11am-6pm. Seats are limited and fill up very quickly so register as early as possible.

Chinese New Year Lantern Riddle Game

Stop by anytime the Centerville Library on February 14, 19, or 21 to see all the colorful lantern riddles on display! Riddles are in Chinese or English. You'll receive a prize if you solve the riddle correctly. Up to two riddles per day per person.

Mandarin/English Bilingual Storytime Plus

 Length of session: 7 weeks, January 17 - February 28, 2013 .
This storytime is conducted in English and Mandarin. Kids will enjoy stories, fingerplays, songs, and fun activities.
For ages 3-6. Registration is required.

child name, age, does he or she speak Mandarin, parent name and a contact phone number. You'll receive an email confirmation about your child's enrollment.

Tail Wagging Tales: Read to a Therapy Dog

 A volunteer from the Ohlone Humane Society will be here with a trained therapy dog for children to read to. This program is free, but does require a ticket to attend. Tickets will be available at the Information Desk starting at 3:00 pm. Each fifteen minute reading time will be shared between two kids. The following are the scheduled reading times: 3:30 pm, 3:45 pm, 4:00 pm, and 4:15 pm.
