    The Interact Club of Logan High School presents a series of story hours for school-age children and families at the Union City Library. Every other Saturday through December 15, high school volunteer readers will welcome kids of all ages to enjoy stories and books from 1 - 2 p.m.

Find out how much fun books and reading can be! The program is free, and no registration is required. Drop in for fifteen minutes, or stay for the entire hour, it's up to you! .

    NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED for this two-week series running December 5 - 12. The Union City Library Toddler Program, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., is a fun introduction to books, songs and games for our youngest Library patrons, and an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize.

The first half hour is a parent/child participation lap program, and the second half is a free play period when adults can visit, play and observe.

Space is limited to 20 adult/child pairs, one child from birth to 35 months per adult as each child needs an adult lap to sit on. Come in before each day's program to pick up a number; ONLY THE FIRST TWENTY ADULT/CHILD PAIRS CAN BE ADMITTED.

    Open Enrollment 2012 begins October 15 and ends December 7.

This program will provide an overview of the Medicare program including eligibility, costs, benefits, and recent changes.

It will explain various options for supplementing Medicare such as Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigaps), Medicare Advantage Plans and Medi-Cal, and provides information on Medicare's prescription drug benefit.

Presented by the Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) of Legal Assistance for Seniors.

    Join the staff from the Math Science Nucleus to have fun with science during the Winter break. The free program includes a short talk, a story, and several hands-on activities for elementary aged children and their parents. Funded through a grant from the Alameda County Library.

Dec 27 Physics of Toys -  Learn about how many toys use the principles of gravity to operate.  Children will make an aerodynamic paper toy and look at toys in a different light.
