    Eligible individuals can get FREE income tax preparaton on site at Union City Library on Saturdays in February and March from 12-4 PM. To qualify for the FREE help you must earn $50,000 or less per year. Bring your Social Security card or ITIN for each family member, your W-2 forms, your 1099 forms, child care provider information, your bank account information for direct deposit of your refund, and last year's tax return if available. This is an informal group of Beginners who support one another in learning
how to organize thoughts and try out writing in various genres. Sharing isencouraged but optional.


Meetings take place five Tuesdays:
January 15 & 29, February 5 & 19, and March 5

    NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED for this four-week series running March 6 - 27. The Union City Library Toddler Program, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., is a fun introduction to books, songs and games for our youngest Library patrons, and an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize.

The first half hour is a parent/child participation lap program, and the second half is a free play period when adults can visit, play and observe.

Space is limited to 20 adult/child pairs, one child from birth to 35 months per adult as each child needs an adult lap to sit on. Come in before each day's program to pick up a number; ONLY THE FIRST TWENTY ADULT/CHILD PAIRS CAN BE ADMITTED.

The program is geared for preteens ages 7-12, and teens are welcome too. We will be demonstrating various guitars and guitar effects as well as playing and recording music with the participants. Get a hands-on experience with instruments and technology to explore the potential for fun and creativity.

    Sutro's: The Palace at Lands End. A documentary film about San Francisco's privately owned swimming, ice skating and museum complex built in the late 19th century. Journey back in time to revisit Sutro Baths when it was in full operation. See the seven pools, Sutro Railway, Merry Way, Sutro's Cliff House, Ice Skating Rink, Egyptian Mummy Museum, plus many more attractions. A nostalgic trip back in time told by historians and the people who were there.

 

This FREE program is for older adults, their family members and service providers.

    NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED for this four-week series running March 6 - 27. The Union City Library Toddler Program, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., is a fun introduction to books, songs and games for our youngest Library patrons, and an opportunity for the parent to make new friends and socialize.

The first half hour is a parent/child participation lap program, and the second half is a free play period when adults can visit, play and observe.

Space is limited to 20 adult/child pairs, one child from birth to 35 months per adult as each child needs an adult lap to sit on. Come in before each day's program to pick up a number; ONLY THE FIRST TWENTY ADULT/CHILD PAIRS CAN BE ADMITTED.

The homework center is supvervised by an adult coordinator, and high school students volunteer as tutors for the younger students. Please come in with your child to meet the tutors. The center provides paper, pencils, and other basic supplies. Laptops are also available for student use. The Homework Center is open throughout the academic school year from September through May. It is closed on school holidays and County holidays.

Find out how much fun books and reading can be! The program is free, and no registration is required. Drop in for fifteen minutes, or stay for the entire hour, it's up to you! .
