Who is a No Excuse Mom?
She’s a mom who makes no excuses for making her health a priority. She’s someone who prioritizes her health, her family’s health and understands the ripple effect their role plays in the health of their community. These moms chose to transform their lives by consciously deciding every day that their health was worth it. When they were tired they trained. When they were lost for time to exercise, they found the time. When they were busy, they purposefully planned and prepared their daily goals and meals to coincide with what they wanted out of life. Some work outside the home, some have multiple children, some dealt with depression and some are raising a family on their own. They are true examples of real every day women – whose fitness manifests in different sizes, shapes and ages. These women made No Excuses for not prioritizing the body that brought their babies into this world.

Rewire to Inspire:

Seeking to restore a sense of community in our technologically saturated world, Rewired to Inspire aims to form rapports across generations and allow different age groups to tap into the otherwise unrealized wisdom from each other.

"Sustained effort of your team over one year will bring some amazing results. Rewired to Inspire facilitates face-to-face meetings and is absolutely necessary in [today’s technological world]," said Bhargav Mehta, a participant at their first session. At this session, participants from all generations enjoyed a few icebreakers and exciting rounds of Pictionary.

Rewired to Inspire hopes to have its senior members share their passions and interests with their peers.

Covered California, the California branch of the Affordable Care Act, is the best way to get affordable, name-brand health insurance coverage.

All Covered California plans provide outpatient care, hospitalization, mental health services, rehabilitation and habilitative services, emergency care, pediatric care, laboratory tests, prescription drugs, maternity and new born care, preventive and wellness services, vision and dental coverage for children under 19.  This year consumers can purchase adult dental and vision plans in addition to their medical plans.

From November through the end of January, 2017, Axis Enrollment Counselors will be available to help, both in the office and the community.  Axis Community Health’s Certified Enrollment Counselors can assist anyone who needs help with their Covered California or Medi-Cal application.  For most people, this is the easiest way to get questions answered and enroll on time.  Call (925) 462-1755 to schedule a free appointment in English or Spanish at any Axis Community Health clinics in Pleasanton or Livermore.  Appointments are available during regular business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends.

Axis Community Health is partnering with Dublin Library to provide in-person assistance with insurance enrollment.  Community members are invited to visit at Dublin Library on the 3rd Monday of each month from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (December 19, and January 16.) to discuss healthcare enrollment with certified enrollment counselors in the Dublin Library Lobby.  Dublin Library is located at 200 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA 94568.

Meryl Streep plays the title character, a real-life figure who was a patron of the arts in New York in the first half of the last century but also fancied herself a singer.  She most definitively wasn't, but money can go along way toward bolstering any delusion, and in 1944 Jenkins boutht her way onto the Carnegie Hall stage, performing an awful concert that became the stuff of legend.   PG-13;  1 hr, 50 mins.

Community members are invited to visit at Dublin Library on the January 16th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM  to discuss healthcare enrollment with certified enrollment counselors in the Dublin Library Lobby.  Dublin Library is located at 200 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA 94568.
