Adults and teens 14+ are welcome to attend Stitch 'n Inch to learn or practice knitting with Colette Pispisa or crocheting with Betty Joseph in a fun and friendly atmosphere. You are also welcome just to socialize. Their Newark Knitting group page is on Ravelry.com.

Stitch 'n Inch meets every other Saturday. You may bring your own needles or hooks to learn, or borrow straight knitting needles and yarn. Colette is proficient at using double-pointed needles, but if you want to learn how to make hats, socks or both, you'll need to buy yourself a set.

4T Digital Makerspace

A time and place where you can come with your laptop (or borrow one from the library!) and hang out with others working on your digital projects. We'll focus on Scratch programming, which is perfect for those who are new to programming.  This is a place to work on your own projects and get help when needed.  We can also help with making Minecraft mods, working with iPad apps for art and photo editing, and much more. We welcome more experienced kids and adults who can mentor others as well.  This is a great way to build on your STime projects!

Python and Raspberry Pi for anybody who has already mastered Scratch
HTML/CSS to create your own website

Bring and fix your broken small electronics, appliances, bikes, and toys (or at least learn more about them) with the help of fixit coaches. A textile/clothing coach will also be available. We provide the workspace, tools, and coaches. This is an all-age do-it-together (D.I.T) repair event.

- Bring your broken item (carry-in only: no oversize items)
- Bring parts and tools that might be helpful (e.g. sewing supplies)
- Come ready to describe what’s wrong and what you’ve tried
- Come ready to learn and to share what you already know with others
WHO: All ages welcome: a family-friendly event: accompanied children are heartily invited! 
WHY: To make friends, learn and teach how to fix things, and have fun!

This event is part of Fixit and new students will be admitted only if there are enough volunteers. Learn to sew using a sewing machine. All materials and equipment are supplied for your first project, a drawstring bag. After that, you may work on a project of your own. The library has some fabric available for students. 

Registration is required. Space is limited because the library has only 8 sewing machines. When you register, please include whether you are bringing your own sewing machine.

TriValley CoderDojo is a part of the larger CoderDojo global movement of free computer coding clubs for young people ages 8-17 years old. TriValley CoderDojo, or TriV for short, is based in Dublin but open to youth in the surrounding TriValley area and beyond. Monthly sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are in the Community Room at the Dublin Library.  The coding session begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Please arrive by 5:45 pm for set up so we can start promptly. It's Dublin's 34th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival, planned for March 18 and 19.  Check out the Festival website for full details on all the events at http://dublinca.gov/293/St-Patricks-Day-Celebration.

The Festival takes place in the Civic Center complex that includes City Hall and the Library.  Dublin Library is open normal hours, 10:00-5:00 on Saturday and 1:00-5:00 on Sunday.  However, the Civic Center parking area is completely closed off for festival vendors, so people will need to follow the "Festival Parking" signs and walk to the Library.  

Materials will not be due over this weekend. However, there will be a drop off for library materials in the sports grounds parking area.

Bring and fix your broken small electronics, appliances, bikes, and toys (or at least learn more about them) with the help of fixit coaches. A textile/clothing coach will also be available. We provide the workspace, tools, and coaches. This is an all-age do-it-together (D.I.T) repair event.

Get ready for a howl of a good time as children grades K-6 are invited to our Paws to Read program. Read to a certified pet therapy dog and their owner as Paws to Read programs are designed to help young readers gain self confidence and improve their reading skills.

TriValley CoderDojo is a part of the larger CoderDojo global movement of free computer coding clubs for young people ages 8-17 years old. TriValley CoderDojo, or TriV for short, is based in Dublin but open to youth in the surrounding TriValley area and beyond. Monthly sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are in the Community Room at the Dublin Library.  The coding session begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Please arrive by 5:45 pm for set up so we can start promptly.
