Cameron is the new kid in school who becomes smitten with the beautiful Bianca. In a bid to get Kat a boyfriend, Cameron sets up a plan to have the school stud, Joey Donnar, bribe Patrick Verona, an outcast senior with a rumor-filled past, to take Kat out on dates so he can go to the school's homecoming dance with Bianca. However, neither Patrick or Kat expect their relationship to lead to something so much more.

The League of Women Voters, together with the San Lorenzo Library, are scheduling a candidates night for San Lorenzo Unified School District School Board Candidates on Thursday October 6, 2016 from 6:30 until 9:00 pm in the community room at the San Lorenzo Library.

Over the years, Leagues have built up high recognition value and reservoirs of community trust by providing citizens accurate, nonpartisan services and information on elections and on governmental issues. Providing voters service and citizen education is a time-honored tradition dating back to the founding purposes of the League. The League believes that it is imperative for voters to have an accurate understanding of the position of each candidate running for the Board of Directors.

The key to the League's success for candidate forums is to provide unbiased, factual information. Thus, our League has adopted careful and objective candidate participation criteria for the forums. Our ground rules are set to ensure that the activity is conducted in a strictly nonpartisan manner.

Rewire to Inspire:

Seeking to restore a sense of community in our technologically saturated world, Rewired to Inspire aims to form rapports across generations and allow different age groups to tap into the otherwise unrealized wisdom from each other.

"Sustained effort of your team over one year will bring some amazing results. Rewired to Inspire facilitates face-to-face meetings and is absolutely necessary in [today’s technological world]," said Bhargav Mehta, a participant at their first session. At this session, participants from all generations enjoyed a few icebreakers and exciting rounds of Pictionary.

In the future, Rewired to Inspire hopes to have its senior members share their passions and interests with their peers. The first session was a resounding success, and subsequently Rewired to Inspire’s sessions will be held Friday Sept 16th, 4:30-5:45 at Fremont Main Library.
