From robins to Malagasy Kingfishers, "A Fascination for Birds" tells the story of one person's growing curiosity and interest in birds, from the feathered residents in the backyard garden to inhabitants in exotic places. There are roughly 10,000 species of birds in the world, each one different, each with unique behaviors.  They fly, they're brightly colored, they migrate great distances.  What marvelous creatures!

Bob Lewis is on the board of the Golden Gate Audubon Society and the Farallon Island Foundation.  He has been a birder since the early 1970s, and has seen over 4,000 of the world's bird species.  He's fascinated with them, enjoys travel and photography, and likes to share his award-winning images with others.
