Kid Power Orientation
|

|
Middle and high school students who are 13 and older can volunteer to help people of all ages (but mostly little kids) play the Summer Reading Game. To volunteer, you must fill out the Kid Power Application & Contract and bring it with you to one of the mandatory orientations on June 7th OR June 18th at 3 p.m. Check your availability before coming to this meeting; you will be able to sign up for your first shifts at that time. The game will run from June 14-August 10.
Kid Power volunteers who earn 10 or more hours will be invited to an afterhours Movie Nite at the end of the summer.
Vounteer opportunities also exist for helping with children's programs over the summer. Interested students (not parents!) should contact Children's Library Assistant, Tracy Dodge, for more information.

 Local multicultural artist Rachel-Anne Palacios will be presenting a Mehndi workshop for Tweens and Teens. She will be demonstrating henna art techniques and assisting participants with henna application. Each participant will receive their own henna kit and mehndi patterns to use.
