There's a gnome on the loose in the library and we need your help figuring out where he's been hiding! The patron who correctly identifies all his hiding spots gets to take the slippery little rascal home with them at the end of the month.

Craft Night Out
|
|
| |
|
Leave the dishes to your kids or significant other and join us at the library
for some much needed crafting indulgence. Are you a scrapbooker who never gets
to finish a page. Are you a knitter who hasn't finished a scarf in years? Are
you a constant Pinner who hasn't ever tried one of your pinterest projects?
Well put that procrastination in the past, bring your craft supplies and ideas
to the library, and enjoy a solid hour of craft time with other people who
understand how enjoyable it is to craft. Don't worry if you don't have a craft
to work on, each month the library will provide the supplies and instructions
for a craft you can take home that night.

The third installment of the Blockbuster Books on Film Movie & Lecture Series, presented through the cooperation of Chessboard Creative and The Andrew Carnegie Free Library Library! Countless classic films have been based on books. In many cases, the book became more popular due to its portrayal on screen, though in others, the film far out shown the source material with the book falling into obscurity. Each installment of this series begins with an informative lecture by Chessboard Creative Executive Director Brian Edward, examining a classic film production and the history of book on which it is based, followed by a screening of the movie in the Music Hall of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library. Admission to the event is free and will include opportunities to purchase raffle tickets for prizes related to the evening's feature.
