Medicare can be confusing. In this informative session, James P. Short, New York State Licensed Healthcare Insurance Agent, will provide insight into various aspects of Medicare, including:

The basics, it's different parts, cost sharing methods, different coverage choices available and how to pick the plan that is best for you.

This program is designed for individuals turning 65, those retiring after the age of 65 and those already enrolled in Medicare, but all are welcome to attend.

Start with a tour of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, followed by a delicious three-course lunch at the Ristorante Caterina dé Medici. Food choices are pre-selected and include Spinach-ricotta Crepe with Parmesan Cheese, Roasted Chicken Breast with Semolina Gnocchi and Glazed Carrots and Apple or Pear Cake with Whipped Ricotta and Honey.

After lunch, visit historic Staatsburgh for a tour of the Mills Mansion. Highlighting the real-life counterparts of the Downton Abbey TV characters, this tour, led by a costumed interpreter, will explore how the servants prepared for a busy weekend of entertaining, its opulent rooms once again filled with “servants” and “guests” of another era…and how the Mills’ daughter, like Downton Abbey’s Cora, married into the British aristocracy.
