Introduction to Personal Computers
Date: Monday May 20, 2013
Time: 1:30P – 3:30P (the second session occurs Wednesday May 22, 2013)
Title: Introduction to Personal Computers
Cost: Ten dollars payable at the Circulation Desk
Supplies: Library provides 35 page Student Handbook
Prerequisites: Baxter County Library card
This class is suitable for persons who have little or no experience with personal computers. It consists of two separate two-hour sessions. The first session provides an overview of the personal computer and its basic operation; the second session allows the student to practice new skills in an informal setting using the Library’s Computer Lab. Knowledgeable and experienced Volunteer Instructors provide this useful course of instruction and hands-on support.
Patrons can review a copy of the student handbook at the Library's Circulation Desk prior to signing up for the class. Register for the class in person at the Library Circulation Desk.

Title: Introduction to Personal Computers – Lab
Prerequisites: Attendance at the May 20 Introduction to Personal Computers class
This is a hands-on practice session for the students who attended the May 20, 2013 Introduction to Personal Computers class. Volunteer Instructors will provide assistance as the student practices basic computer skills using a variety of software applications. The students will be able to enhance their understanding and use of the Internet during this lab session.
