Beaman Library is looking for teens to join our Teen Advisory Group. This essential group helps the librarians decide what programs to offer and suggests items for the library to purchase. They also make decorations and displays (such as the origami display in the Teen Space) and sometimes help with children’s programs.  The group meets between 4-6 times a year for about 1 ½ hours on a weeknight.  Volunteering is fun and it also looks great on your activity resume! Please let us know at the main desk if you are interested in joining. Hope you decide to join us!

Yes, TED REINSTEIN will grace us again with his fantastic and entertaining presence.  His last visit in the fall of 2013 to speak about his book “New England Notebook” was a spectacular attraction for young and old.  He regaled us with stories from his travels to find hidden, secret, special and often quirky people and places in New England.  He has a new book in the works and more stories to share.  If you would like to meet Ted, be sure to sign up because space is limited

He will take center stage AFTER the Friends of The Beaman Memorial Public Library's Annual Meeting at 6 PM.
