    Join our annual Summer Reading program.  Adults may read or listen to any books from our library collection and then sumbit a chance  to win a gift certificate to a local restaurant (Donated by The Friends of the Beaman Library).  This program run through the summer until August 24.

The Teen Summer Reading Program has begun! This program is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall. Use this link to register and then between June 18 and August 23, log each book you read over the summer.  You can count books you read on an e-reader as well. When you log in a book, rate it and add a short review to let others know what you thought about the book. (Your name won't show on the review). Each week a winner will be chosen from everyone who has entered a book into their log and on August 23, the top 8 readers will win a $25.00 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.     South Bay Early Childhood Services offers a session the first Friday of each month for parents and caregivers.  Children will be supervised in the Story Hour Room by sitters provided by the SBECS program.  South Bay will listen to your needs and set up guest speakers based on your concerns.  Beverages for the adults will be provided.  This is a sign up activity as the library is closed on Friday mornings and is only open for the participants.

    Join Lauren Monroe of Worcester Think Tank, LLC. in a Forensic Science Workshop. Delve beneath the surface and discover what forensic scientists deduce from skeletal remains using forensic anthro-pology. In addition, you will explore what "lies within" regarding DNA fingerprints. 

Hands on activities will include: mock crime scene investigation, a DNA extraction lab, and experiments identifying and testing the decay and decompo-sition of bones.


Limited to 12 participants. Registration is mandatory.

    Pick up a scavenger hunt form containing clues and activities that will lead you on a scavengerhunt around West Boylston. Follow the map and search for the letters indicated on signs around town. When you have completed your form, add your name and phone number to it and return it to the library. The participants who find the more correct answers will receive a prize at the end of the summer.

    Explore Beneath the Surface  this summer at Beaman Library!!
 
The Teen Summer Reading Program has begun! This program is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall. Use this link to register and then between June 18 and August 23, log each book you read over the summer.  You can count books you read on an e-reader as well. When you log in a book, rate it and add a short review to let others know what you thought about the book. (Your name won't show on the review). Each week a winner will be chosen from everyone who has entered a book into their log and on August 23, the top 8 readers will win a $25.00 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.
