This small group setting provides parents/caregivers and babies with physical closeness and a shared enjoyment of reading.
PeaPods share songs, puppets, movement, board books and sign language in conjunction with nursey rhymes.
Pre-registration is requried for this program and will be from October 15-17.

The City of Bedford Animal Shelter and the Bedford Public Library need your help to provide a safe and healthy environment for the lost and forgotten animals that come to the shelter.
Our Santa Paws List includes:
High quality adult dog and cat food: Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba, etc. (high-risk animals require higher nutritional standards). Non-clumping clay cat litter - the cheap kind. High quality puppy and kitten food. Bleach, dishwashing and laundry soap. Any monetary donations. Adoption! Give a furry friend the gift of a loving home.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations during November and December.

Poverty and, thus, the risk of hunger is a reality for more than a quarter of a million people living in the communities served by Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB). Children account for more than one-third (35%) of these individuals. The Bedford Public Library and the City of Bedford Fire Department are hosting a non-perishable food drive to help TAFB help others.
You can bring your donations to the Library during November and December.

Area 51 is the library's landing site for teens, by teens. The library is more than books; it's Wii offs, food, flicks, chilling with friends, all for the low, low price of FREE!
This month we will celebrate the release of New Moon, the much awaited saga in the Twilight series. We will have a trivia contest with New Moon prizes.
No registration is needed for this free event.

Bedford Library Goes to the Dogs!
 READ2Rover is a program that encourages children to read by providing a nonjudgemental listner and furry friend to read to that won't laugh at them if they make a mistake or stumble over a word, but rather lie next to them and enjoy being read to.
This relationship between child and dog enables the child to gain a positive attitude about reading, improving reading skills, building confidence, and the enjoyment of reading.
Registration is requried for this free program.

The Library will accept non-perishable food items for the Tarrant Area Food Bank and/or the Bedford Animal Shelter.
This Food for Fines program will waive $1.00 off your fines for every acceptable item donated.
Expired items will not be accepted.
