This drop-in event will feature a show and tell of various digital devices such as ereaders, tablets and basic laptops. If you're considering purchasing one of these devices feel free to come and test them out, read reviews and learn the pros and cons of different models and brands. For those who already own a device, visit our help table to find quick guides and other resources such as online tutorials that will help you make the most of the device you own.

This program does not require registration and patrons can drop in and spend as little or as much time as they like browsing through our resources.

The Friends of the Brooks Free Library "Books on Wheels” service provides free delivery of library materials to Harwich residents who are permanently or temporarily unable to visit the library due to illness, physical disability, lack of transportation, a caregiver of a homebound person, or any reason you're physically unable to get to the library. Delivery is on the second and fourth week of each month. Please phone the library at 508-430-7562 to learn more about this service.

“The Greatest Generation Meets” is a monthly book group that meets on the third Friday of the month from 1:00-2:00 in the Thornton Room at the Brooks Free Library. “The Greatest Generation” is a term coined by Tom Brokaw that pays tribute to the men and women who served our country, both overseas and at home, during World War II. If you are a member of this generation, or are interested in this period of history, join our discussion and share your ideas and experiences. This month's selection is "Citizens of London: the Americans who stood with Britain in its darkest, finest hour" by Lynne Olson. Pick up a copy of the book at the circulation desk. Bring your own materials and photos and join us on the first Thursday of every month at 6PM. If you never scrapped before, bring your photos and scissors and a runner adhesive and we’ll help you get started. Card makers welcome to join us. Open to individuals 16 years of age and older.

We will meet monthly to provide an opportunity to learn from each other, get advice on and share tools, techniques, and supplies, and to enjoy sociability while filling your albums with memories. Bring your own materials and photos and join us on the first Thursday of every month at 6PM. If you never scrapped before, bring your photos and scissors and a runner adhesive and we’ll help you get started. Card makers welcome to join us. Open to individuals 16 years of age and older.
