Martha Peterson worked for the CIA and was one of the first women operations officers ever assigned to Moscow in the mid 1970s.
Her husband, John Peterson, was a longtime Bellingham resident who also worked for the CIA and was killed in a helicopter crash in 1972.
 She will talk about her book, The Widow Spy, which recounts her experiences.

For families. Davis & Roger will be performing their music and stories program, Earth Rhythms, which is made possible with a grant from the Bellingham Cultural Council. 

Davis Bates and Roger Tincknell have over four decades of combined performing experience, providing hundreds of performances in schools, libraries and other community settings. Their warm and participatory programs involve audiences in a wide variety of cultural heritages. Davis and Roger have both received Parents' Choice awards for their most recent recordings. Davis won a Gold Award for Family Stories (which was named one of the ten best audio recordings of 1996 by Booklist magazine), and Roger won an Honor Award for Earth Rhythms, an environmental album, and Silver Honors for Carnavolito, one of his recent CDs.

Yes, it's been a year already! Our stuffed animal vets are back and it is time for your stuffed animal's annual check-up. Bring in your stuffed animal to make sure she/he/it is healthy!! One stuffed animal per child, please. This is a drop in program - no registration is necessary.

For families. Dressed for digging, intrepid fossil hunter Paulette Morin introduces children to the wonders of dinosaurs and our prehistoric past. This presentation touches on the who, what, where and when of the dinosaurs. With more than 100 fossil specimens and enthusiastic storytelling, children and parents will be sure to learn and have fun. Please register.
