misc_none 7:00 PM Lincoln Assassination Remind Me about this Event   Tell a Friend

The Lincoln Assassination @t Boxborough’s Library

As part of our yearlong Tenth Anniversary Celebration, the Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough will present The Lincoln Assassination on Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 pm.  Author Christopher Daley brings to life one of America’s greatest tragedies. Richmond has fallen, General Robert E. Lee has surrendered, and the Civil War is ending. And then, Abraham Lincoln is plucked from this earth as if his mission here had been accomplished - to keep the United States united...to preserve the Union! There are so many instances in U.S. History where the hand of fate seems to be operating and this is one! Join us as we approach the 150th anniversary of the Assassination to look back at this tragic event in our history.  This lecture is the result of years of research and travel. Christopher Daley, a history teacher in Kingston, MA, will discuss his research on the assassination and the events that followed. The presentation will feature a video of Booth’s hideout following the assassination

This program is sponsored by the generosity of the Friends of Boxborough Library.  Everyone is welcome.
