Brockton Public Library Book Group will be discussing Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt, a modern classic and a favority among many .A library patron cautioned me that the movie was different and the book was even better. Copies of the novel are available at the Main circulation desk. New members are always welcome. We serve refreshments, often complementing the work to be discussed. For those of  you familiar with the novel, our water does not have magical properties!

Art Smart offers the opportunity for high school age Brocktonians to enter up to two works of art to be displayed in the Joseph A. Driscoll Gallery during the month of March. Entries are due by March 5th, please bring them to the Adult Services Department Head: Lucia M. Shannon on the top floor of Brockton Public Library. Real artists will judge the works and first, second, and third prizes will be awarded on March 22nd at the art reception. Family,friends, teachers, trustees, judges and city officials as well as the general public are welcome to attend this exciting annual event. First prize is $100, second is $75, and third is $50. The winning pieces of art will be displayed in the young adult area of Bockton Public Library for an entire year. Entry forms may be found on the main page of this website. Brockton artists from this and other venues are now exhibiting their works at 33 Dover Street Gallery, ENSO, Brockton High School, and Massasoit Community College.
