Old Colony YMCA-Youth Branch Basketball League is open to boys and girls in Grades K-8. Registration for Grades K-2 is on Nov. 10; Grades 3-5 on Nov. 12 and Grades 6-8 on Nov. 13. All registration is at 6:15 pm at the Old Colony YMCA Youth Branch, 465 Main Street, Brockton.
Practices begin the week of Nov. 22 and meet once a week. The first game of the season begins December 12.
Emphasis is on players having fun, learning basketball skills, team work, and
enhancing their personal development. Teams will participate in a 10-week season where everyone plays every game.
The cost for members is $59.00; non-members-$79.00 which includes a team shirt, banquet and awards ceremony.
YMCA Basketball League continues to be one of the most popular Youth Sports Programs in the Brockton area. The YMCA Basketball Program places the emphasis on building positive values through the sport and incorporates the Y philosophy of “athletes first, winning second”..
Men and women are needed as coaches, officials and timekeepers. If you can volunteer a few hours each week to help keep a good kid good, please call Louise at 508-587-4242, Ext.17.

Old Colony YMCA-Youth Branch, 465 Main Street, Brockton is accepting registrations for Fall II Session-Nov. 1– Dec. 19. Member registration is -Oct. 18/Walk-in-Oct. 15 and for Non-Members-Oct. 25/Walk-in-Oct. 26.
We offer swimming lessons for ages 6 months -adults. Private Lessons for youth and adults, Adult Lap, Senior Swim and Exercise (60 +), Family Swim and Birthday Pool Parties are also available.
Karate classes strive to develop character, integrity, self-discipline and respect for others. Ages: 6-12. New participants receive a complimentary t-shirt.
Our Hip Hop Class will showcase the “King of Pop”, Michael Jackson with routines involving choreography from his famous “Thriller” album. In this four week class, students will be taught several dance moves all relating to the many moves of the “King of Pop”. So come and have fun as you “moonwalk” across the floor and share in the excitement and fun living in the moment with Michael Jackson. Ages:8-12. Nov. 14 & 21 and Dec. 12 & 19.
Register for our Youth Basketball League for grades K-8. Weekly practices and a 10 game schedule which are played on Saturdays. Awards banquet held at end of season.
Our Fitness Center for adults and youth 9-14 offers a way to stay active and healthy while utilizing our cardiovascular fitness and strength training equipment. Membership is required.Our Swim Team for ages 6-17 is a competitive program which stresses Fun while building a strong foundation of self-confidence, commitment and goal setting. This program is taught by experienced coaches. Sign ups begin in September.

A Family Shabbat Celebration will take place at Temple Beth Emunah, 479 Torrey St at Pearl St., Brockton, on Friday Nov. 20th at 6 PM. Come join us for a fun filled Shabbat Event! Children will learn about the joys & customs of Shabbat, hear stories & sing songs
The program is best suited for children age 3-8 years old but we welcome children of all ages! Moms and dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends or neighbors are all invited for a brief service followed by a scrumptious Shabbat meal.
Members & non-members are Welcome. The cost for the dinner is $5 per person with a $20 max per family.
