The Old Colony Y–Youth Branch, begins its Spring I Session–Feb.22-Apr.10. Members can register online-Feb.8/walk-in-Feb.9. Non-Member online-Feb. 15/walk in-Feb.16.
Karate-ages 6-12 offers your child the opportunity to develop character, integrity, self-discipline and respect for others. New participants receive a complimentary t-shirt. Uniforms available at an additional cost.
Scrimmage Basketball Games-ages 8-12 held each week (Feb. 20-Apr. 10) allows players a chance to play with everyone. Apr. 25-June 12 will offer 7 weeks.
(Hip-Hop)-ages 6-adults. Basic jazz steps will be taught in a 45 minute class to complete 1 or 2 choreographed routines!
Kids Night Out-ages 5-12 held Friday nights. We host your child in a night of fun activities while parents have a little free time. Arts/crafts, open swim, movies, games and a light dinner. Feb.26-6:15-8:00 pm. Bring a friend(s)get $2.00 off your admission.
Little Sport Soccer-ages 4–6 will participate in a variety of activities aimed at developing soccer skills, build stamina, sportsmanship and team work. Held indoors.
Aquatic programs consist of group swimming lessons for ages 6 months -adults. If you prefer more of a one on one setting, schedule an appointment for a private lesson and receive five, 30-minute classes. For both adults and children.
Adult Lap/Senior Swim and Exercise 60 +), Open Family Swim is free all year for members. Non-members are welcome and pay a small fee. Tue.-Fri-5:00-7:45 pm/Sat-12 noon-1 pm.
Celebrate your birthday with a pool party with us! Enjoy 1 hour of recreational swim time with a certified lifeguard and 1 hour in a room for your cake and ice cream. Saturdays Only.

The Old Colony Y-Youth Branch, 465 Main Street, Brockton is having a Valentine’s Day Dance for families on Friday, February 12 -6:30-8:00 pm. Children and parents are invited to participate together for an evening of music, dance, games, and lots more . So put on your “happy feet” and get ready to dance the night away. You don’t want to miss this exciting night of fun for all. Wear something red and your name will be entered into a free raffle for a prize. Refreshments will be offered for a small charge. Admission is $5.00 per child (parents free).
With your support, all proceeds will benefit our annual Strong Kids Campaign which allows us to provide families in need with financial assistance for memberships, after school care, recreational programs and summer camp, ensuring that everyone has access to YMCA programs.

The Old Colony Y –Youth Branch, 465 Main Street, Brockton will begin its Spring I Session –Feb. 22-Apr. 10. Members register online-Feb. 8/walk-in-Feb. 9. Non-Member online-Feb. 15/walk in-Feb. 16. All membership and programs are convenient and affordable.

Designed with youth in mind (ages: 9-14), while also perfect for adult use. Child/adult must complete a training of equipment prior to utilizing the center. Call to schedule an appointment. Our Old Colony Y Swim Team (boys/girls-6-17) is a competitive swim program which stresses Fun while building a strong foundation of self-confidence, commitment and goal setting. This program is taught by experienced coaches. If your child would thrive on some competition in the pool then this is the program for them.

Good Samaritan Medical Center will offer “one-stop shopping” for cholesterol, blood sugar (glucose), body mass and blood pressure screenings.
The next screenings will be held on February 10 from 10a.m. to noon at Manning Towers, 45 Goddard Road Brockton and from 1-3 p.m. that day at Sullivan Towers, 140 Col. Bell Drive.
The free screenings will also be offered on February 11 from 1-3 p.m. at the Belair Towers, 105 Belair St.
The goal is to make these screenings accessible to people in the community with potential health issues and are open to people of all ages. No insurance is necessary to undergo the screening. Call 1-800-488-5959 to register.
Results will be delivered in minutes while you wait. A team of health professionals will be available to discuss results and offer tips on nutrition, managing diabetes, smoking cessation, stroke and cardiovascular health.

Good Samaritan Medical Center and the American Cancer Society will offer a program on "Nutrition During Cancer Treatment" from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Radiation Oncology Center.
Facilitator Peggy Pochay, RD, will offer tips on good eating during treatment and the importance of good nutrition for cancer patients.
The Radiation Oncology Center is located at 818 Oak St., on the main campus of Good Samaritan. Call 508-427-2900 to register.

HINGHAM: The South Shore Model Railway Club Open House & Train Show will be on Saturday, March 20st, from 9 AM to 4 PM & Sunday, March 21nd from 10 AM to 4 PM. The show will be at two locations. The train club, located in Building 51, Bare Cove Park, 19 Fort Hill St. Hingham, across for the West Hingham Commuter Rail Station on the Greenbush Line out of South Station, and just on the other side of the rail station, South Shore Country Club located at 274 South Street, Hingham. Both the Train Club & and The South Shore Country Club will be open for both days of the show. The train club and the Country Club are located approx ½ mile apart.
The Train Club will host the clubs permanent layout with visiting layouts from other clubs, white elephant table, demonstration clinics, rail movies, club car sales and club shirts and other apparel for sale. The Golf Club will host all dealers as well as two additional visiting layouts. Food service will be available in the lounge at the golf club both days of the show.
Admission is $5.00 for Adults, $2.00 Seniors (65+) and Children 5-12, under 5 are free with an Adult. Tickets are good for both days and both locations of the Open House and at the Show. You must have your ticket for re-entry. There is free parking at both locations.
