Calling all cooks! This group that meets the third Tuesday of every month (except November, when it's the second Tuesday) is for cooks of all ages and all skill levels. At these pot-luck style mettings, you supply the food, and the library supplies drinks, utensils, dishes, etc. The library also makes cook books available according to each theme. July's theme is "What Will You Bring to the BBQ?" We'll enjoy our meal outdoors for this fetive gathering.  Bring one of your staple picnic dishes or try a new recipe from one of the cookbooks provided in June. Join us! Call Tracy at 412-882-5694 with questions or to join the club.

August's theme is "Vegetarian Appetizers." Each year we devote one month to vegetarian dishes, and this year we're focusing on appetizers.  You can take a "non-veggie" favorite and make it veggie, or you can choose one of thousands of vegetarian appetizer recipes to make. Join us! Call Tracy at 412-882-5694 with questions or to join the club.

Human Trafficking: A Tragedy of the Most Severe Proportion.”

Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) have become a major source of drug trafficking throughout Mexico and the United States.

Recently, these DTOs have expanded their criminal business portfolio through human trafficking.

With promises of a better life, young women and children are lured into a life of sexual exploitation and prostitution.

Professor Al DeAmicis will guide us through the workings of these drug organizations and expose their subsidiary "business" cruelties.

Professor Albert DeAmicis, MPIA, MPPM, SME
