Volunteers from the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary will be visiting the Blackstone Library to tell their favorite cat stories and to

In addition, they'll be bringing one of their favorite kitties with them!

After the program these kind volunteers will teach kids how to make simple cat toys.

Chickens in the Garden with Gretel Anspach
May 12, 2016 at 6:30 PM

Chickens are a wonderful addition to any garden; they provide eggs, wonderful fertilizer, and lots of company! Learn the ins and outs of housing, feeding and tending chickens, and meet a couple of the ladies (hens). Gretel Anspach is the past president of the Massachusetts Master Gardeners Association and a software engineer who works for a major electrons company and resides in Hudson. She has also volunteered sporadically for the New England Wildflower Society as an adult’s and children’s guide. She considers her horticulture interests to be eclectic, which is to say she knows a little about a lot and not much about anything. Gretel is a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Board of Trustees. Registration is required. This program is part of the library’s Pathways to Success: Health and Wellness grant, provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
