Digital Photography Workshop
Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM
Age category: Adults and Young Adults

A Digital Photography workshop, Build a Better World through Photography will be taught by professional photographer Steve Bouvier.  Mr. Bouvier will begin by discussing the technical fundamentals of digital photography including types of camera equipment, using the different camera modes, and getting proper exposure. The remainder of the workshop will cover the more subtle, artistic facets of photo composition, lighting, and finding subject matter. In the weeks after the workshop, participants will be encouraged to venture into the community to photograph subjects and settings that express the library's summer reading theme, Build a Better World. An art show will be held at the library in August to showcase students' photographs.
Registration is required for this event. Registration begins on June 5 for Summer Reading participants and registration for all others begins on June 12. Space is limited. Participants must own a digital camera or a cell phone with a camera, and should have a basic working knowledge of this equipment. To register, please call the Blackstone Public Library at 508-883-1931.
