Organic Gardening and Composting

Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 PM

What is organic? While there is much talk about the benefits of organic gardening, there is also a great deal of confusion about exactly what this means. Master Gardener, Gretel Anspach, will cover what is truly meant by organic gardening, how organic standards apply to the home gardener, and what organic techniques you can most easily employ in your own gardens. Nothing is easier, cheaper, or better for your garden than compost. Composting can be as little or as much work as you prefer, but the resulting product will improve your garden in more ways than you can imagine. Gretel Anspach is the past president of the Massachusetts Master Gardeners Association and a software engineer who works for a major electrons company and resides in Hudson. Gretel is a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Board of Trustees. Registration is required.

This program is funded by a donation from the library’s Gift Account.
