Herb Talk

Melissa Pace is an award-winning horticulturalist who competes in numerous garden and flower shows, from the Philadelphia Flower Show to the Bolton Fair. Melissa has been a University of Rhode   Island Master Gardener since 2003. She has been a presenter for numerous garden clubs and civic organizations throughout New  England since 1995. Melissa is an artist and art educator and holds a masters degree in teaching from Bridgewater State University.

"North Sea Gas" is one of Scotland's most popular folk bands with great vocals and tremendous three part harmonies. Guitars, Mandolin, Fiddle, Bouzouki, Harmonica, Whistles, Bodhrans, Banjo and good humour are all part of the entertainment.  Please join us for this free concert.  Registration is required.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Blackstone Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and also by a generous donation from the Library’s Gift Account.

You're invited to a Halloween Party! Feast upon some creepy crawly treats, make some frightfully fun crafts and hear several spooky stories. "Petrifying" pizza will also be served (sorry, we cannot accommodate dietary restrictions). Don't forget to wear your costume! Strictly for ages 3 - 9. Registration for Blackstone residents begins on Monday, September 26. Registration for all library patrons begins on Monday, October 3. Registration must be made in person requires the child's parent/guardian to have a valid MA library card.

Ken Oles has been a beekeeper for 21 years and has presented workshops to the public on various topics which include soils, pollinators, beekeeping, and gardening.  He writes a weekly column, “How Does Your Garden Grow”, for a local newspaper in the Wrentham, MA area.
