The Central Square Branch is currently closed in order to repair and upgrade the heating and cooling systems, and to do other interior renovations. We expect the project to be completed in the Fall. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. In order to perform the work safely and expeditiously, it is necessary to close the building to the public. No regular programs will be held at the Branch during this time. Friends of the Library Guided Tour
| |
Our new main library is not only an architectural and environmental wonder, it is also an inviting civic space at the heart of our Cambridge community. If you’re a frequent visitor and have found yourself wanting to know more about the building itself and the artwork it houses, or if you have needed a reason to make your first visit, the new guided tours could be just what you’re looking for. Docents will lead tours Tuesdays at 7 pm, Thursdays at 11 am and Saturdays at 2 pm. There is no need to make a reservation. Simply meet your docent just inside the door of the library. Look for the “Tour’s meet here” sign. See you there!
