A fifteen-minute introduction to storytime and reading through the use of a simple picture book, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement.  The last twenty minutes of the program is playtime designed to encourage socializing among the children as well as the adults.
 
Registration begins April 8th by calling the Children’s Desk at 774-7822 after 10:00 AM

Dawn Marron has organized experienced local coupon clippers to share their tips and techniques to cut your spending and enjoy all your shopping.  The New Cumberland Public Library will host Couponing for Extreme Savings Saturday, May 18, from 11:00 AM—12 Noon, in the Browsing Room of the library building.
 
Couponers will discuss “Back To School--It's Never too early to start planning a Back to School strategy” during the Saturday, June 15th, couponing discussion.

Pennwriters will meet in Foundation Hall of the New Cumberland Public Library on the fourth Wednesday of the month.  Pennwriters meetings are open to anyone who is interested in improving their writing skills.  No fee and no registration.

The group meets the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM in the Dining Room of the library.


This month's program topic will be One Author which will be chosen by the group.  New members always welcome.

The Friends of the New Cumberland Public Library hold pre-owned book sales on the first and third Saturdays of each month. from 9 AM to 3 PM. The sales will include hardback and paperback books, vintage jewelry, DVD’s, music CD’s, puzzles, children’s books, 33 rpm records, tote bags, note cards, and prints. 

The Book Sale is held in the Foundation House located at the corner of Ninth and Sharon Streets adjacent to the New Cumberland Public Library.
