The Just Mysteries Book Club is open to all adults and meets the fourth Friday of every month in the new Community Room in the South Wing.

On June 28, the group will be discussing The Body on the Beach by Simon Brett.

Summary: Retiree Carole Seddon's peaceful life in the English seaside town of Feathering is turned upside down when she stumbles upon a corpse on the beach while walking her dog and joins forces with her bohemian neighbor, Jude, to find a killer.

We can show you how to download ebooks through the library system as well as answer general questions about device usage. We also have a variety of devices on hand for demonstration: Kindle Touch, Nook Touch, Kindle Fire, Nook Color and an iPad. If you are looking to buy a device, we encourage you to come and ask questions and check out our devices. Feel free to bring your device on your quest for help. We look forward to seeing you at the “Hub”! There is no registration if you are coming from 1 - 3. Donating blood may be one of the most important things you’ve ever done. Just one pint of your blood can save as many as four lives.  Come and donate in Fredricksen's lower parking lot (Walnut Street).  The Central PA Blood Bank will be here the first Friday of every month. It is a safe and easy process which takes approximately 45 minutes. Generally, anyone age 16 or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health, can donate blood. If you have any questions about donating, call Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank at 1-800-771-0059 or visit www.cpbb.org

The Friends of the New Cumberland Public Library hold pre-owned book sales on the first and third Saturdays of each month. from 9 AM to 3 PM. The sales will include hardback and paperback books, vintage jewelry, DVD’s, music CD’s, puzzles, children’s books, 33 rpm records, tote bags, note cards, and prints. 

The Book Sale is held in the Foundation House located at the corner of Ninth and Sharon Streets adjacent to the New Cumberland Public Library. 

Stop in and browse.

    Donation Station @ Fredricksen
First Saturday of every month from 1 pm to 3 pm
The Friends of Fredricksen will hold Donation Station on the first Saturday of every month from 1 pm to 3 pm to process the donation of books and media for our Spring and Fall Book sales.  Volunteers will be able to assist unloading your donations.  We hope to provide convenience to you, our donors, and streamline our process for donations.  During Donation Station hours, please park on the Walnut Street side parking area at the lower level employee entrance door.  Donations at all other times can be given at the reference desk.
