    Contact: Anna    203-272-2245 Ext. 4

Imagine what it would be like to visualize what you wanted to achieve and then use that visualization to make it happen.  Could it really be that simple? How often do you "wish" for things to be different?  We all frequently wish for things, but often not much seems to happen.  Isn't it about time to reverse that trend? What if I told you that by simply becoming mindful, setting intentions, and creating a powerful collage of pictures called a Vision Board, you could accomplish success?

Vision Boards Help Provide Clarity -- By placing your images on a board, you create a bridge between the thoughts in your mind to something tangible-a format you can see and feel. Clarity also gives you the emotional energy you'll need to keep working toward your goals in tough times. Composing a clear, vivid vision board is the most important step in making your goals and dreams a reality. It's the key to consistency.  For example, to say "I want a better life" is a fine goal, but have you given serious thought to exactly what that means? Try to envision what your "better life" looks like. That's what this workshop will help you do.

Fiona Bain is a Certified Life Coach who received her training through the accredited program at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). Fiona is very passionate about life coaching.  She brings her sense of humor and love for life to her coaching and supports people in being well, fulfilled and vibrantly alive. Before coaching, Fiona was in the U.S. Navy, is a retired Commander, and worked in Corporate America for 14 years.  Fiona enjoys working with women in transition to help them create the life they dream of.

    Contact: Lucas Franklin   2032722245   lfranklin@cheshirelibrary.org

When a baby waves "bye-bye" or points at what she wants, she is signing! It is natural for babies to communicate with signs. Baby Signing Time Play and Sign classes give babies the signs they need to express their needs and wants. Original and clever songs make learning signs fun and easy. Baby Signing Time Play and Sign classes teach American Sign Language (ASL). ASL signs are straightforward and are easy for parents, caregivers and children to learn. As a parent or caregiver, you do not need to become fluent in ASL, even learning a few signs like ‘milk’, ‘eat’ and ‘more’ can be helpful.

Signing with your hearing child is effective in reducing tantrums and frustration, creates a wonderful opportunity for bonding, and research has suggested that signing encourages an interest in books and higher IQ scores than babies who did not use hand gestures.

Ages birth to 2 years with caregiver.

A born sounder and mover, your baby is already equipped with the means and potential to make music. You've probably noticed how they respond when you play a song in the car or sing them a song to soothe them. Developing your baby's natural musicality will open the door to a world of possibility, not only for music learning but for all learning. We invite you to try out this demonstration of a Music Together Babies Class for families with infants from birth through eight months of age. In this class, the activities are specifically designed to teach you how to support music development in infancy and how to connect with your baby through music using methods such as "purposeful touch", "sound-layering",  and "dancing for baby".

Music Together an internationally recognized early childhood music program. This research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum strongly encourages adult involvement and emphasizes actual music experiences rather than concepts about music.

This class is presented by Michele Urban from Musical Folk.

A born sounder and mover, your baby is already equipped with the means and potential to make music. You've probably noticed how they respond when you play a song in the car or sing them a song to soothe them.     Contact: Kathleen

Join us for this fascinating documentary Pearl Harbor: Into the Arizona. The USS Arizona has been resting on Pearl Harbor's ocean floor for the past 75 years. For the first time since it was destroyed in 1941, scientists have the technology to take an in-depth look inside the ship. Once considered the pride of its fleet, the Arizona has taken on drastic changes in the shallow waters of the Pearl. This comprehensive search of the USS Arizona sheds light on one of the darkest days in American history. The discoveries made inside the ship are a stark reminder of all those who paid the ultimate price for their country. The expedition retells personal stories of survivors who lived through Japan's surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. It also brings a survivor who was aboard the Arizona back to see the ship for what might be one last time. A sight he never thought he'd see again.
