Join educator and Bluebird enthusiast, Kathleen Konechny, for a free presentation on how to help “The Bluebird of Happiness” thrive.

We will explore Bluebird ecology, behavior, and how to attract, monitor and protect adults and chicks on your property.

Kathleen Konechny has been involved with birds and birding for may years and has given numerous presentations on habitat gardening and creating wildlife sanctuaries. Her focus has been on the backyard gardener. Kathleen has been blessed to go birding and photograph birds in Florida, California, Maine, and surrounding states. She has also traveled to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Her favorite though, is to observe and be with the backyard birds at her home everyday. It brings Kathleen great joy to "get to know" the locals! Kathleen lives on a three-acre property called Allhave, which is a wildlife sanctuary.  She also has certificates in Native Plants, Horticulture, and Landscape Design from Phipps Conservatory.  Currently, she works as the Coordinator of Gifted Education at Mt. Lebanon High School.
