Diane Freedman, Anna Halberstadt, Deborah Schwartz, and Lee Sharkey will read their narrative and lyrical poetry inspired by their experiences in Vilnius, the city that was the source of inspiration or safe haven and home to some of the major figures of Lithuanian, Russian Slavic, and Yiddish literature and culture. Reception and book signings to follow. Sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library. Open to all.

Come by for a thriller or murder mystery film. This month’s movie is “Rear Window ”. Based on the short story “It Had to be Murder”, the film focuses on a wheelchair bound photographer who spies on his neighbors from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.

 Hoopla is a new digital media service available to our Concord patrons.  In this class, we will show you how to access Hoopla  movies, TV shows, music albums and audiobooks on your computer, tablet or smart phone.  Advance registrations are strongly recommended.  Please bring your library card and device to the class.

              Singer and musician Ed Morgan can be seen at two Concord libraries! He will perform his program at the Concord Free Public Library, 129 Main Street, Concord on the 4th Friday of the month at 3 pm and at the Fowler Library, 1322 Main Street, Concord on the 2nd Friday of the month at 10 am. This music series is great for children and their families and is sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library.
