Join Spiritual Medium Mary Catherine Volk for an inspirational experience of validating the Afterlife. Mary will share her Near Death Experience that gave her a gift of knowing that life exists beyond this physical form and recognizing signs from departed loved ones. Teaching and sharing these signs helped her family cope with the death of numerous family members at young ages. A father’s gift of orbs at his daughter’s wedding inspired her to write her book which highlights the signs and teaches the reader to trust their own intuitive ability. The inspirational stories in this book will give you chills.

•             Have you ever felt the presence of a departed loved one, or wonder if you did?

•             Do you know the 12 most common signs?

•             Your loved ones are very eager to let you know they are okay.

•             Love is Eternal and we will see each other again.

•             Do you find coins, feathers, see birds or dream of them?

•             Trust your chills, you can’t fake a goose bump!

Mary Catherine Volk is a Spiritual Medium, Inspirational Speaker and Author of Believe In Forever – How to Recognize Signs from Departed Loved Ones. A must read for anyone grieving a loss or curious about life after death.  She serves as an ambassador between the worlds and her mission is to connect you to your loved one and validate the signs you are already receiving. She apprenticed with internationally known shaman Don Oscar Miro-Quesada and world renowned medium James Van Praagh.

The Cumberland Writer’s Group is for people who are serious about writing.  This group is led by local writer Heather MacIntyre. Monthly, writers will get together to read, critique, and support each other as they move through the writing and publishing process.

Since time is limited at each meeting, the following guidelines have been put into place to ensure that everyone has a chance to receive feedback about their work.

Members are allowed the following pieces per session:

1 short story

1 manuscript chapter

1 poem

1 scene or act from a play

Members will be asked to put their work up on the private listserv at least 2 weeks prior to the next meeting in order to give the group time to read and consider their feedback.

Group Ground Rules

  1. Members must be at least 18.  (The library hosts a very successful writer’s group for teens each month for younger writers who would like the same feedback, experience, and support.)
  2. All members of the group will be given an opportunity to present their work.  This means that everyone may not have a chance to have a piece critiqued at every meeting.
  3. New members are always welcome.  New members may need to critique for a month or two before presenting their work to the group in order to allow all members an opportunity to present.  New members will be taken in the order they joined the group for presenting their work.
  4. Fan fiction and adult erotica will not be given feedback.  While we respect the value of these pieces, this is not the best forum in which to receive substantial feedback that could help in the publishing process.
  5. All members are required to show respect for the other members of the group.  There will be no genre bashing, personal attacks, or other bad behavior allowed. Any member of this group who is not constructive to a successful atmosphere may be asked to leave.
