Do you love reading? Do you love talking about books? Do you love eating cookies? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” (and who doesn’t love stories & sugar?), we think you’ll also love our "Milk & Bookies" Book Club. Each meeting, we talk about a different book and decorate delicious, themed-cookies. This month, on Wednesday, March 4th from 6-7pm, we’ll be discussing Robert Paul Weston’s The Creature Department. It’s a story chockfull of monsters, inventions, and bravery (plus, the book actually glows in the dark! How cool is that?!).

This program is for children in 3rd - 5th grades only.

Space is limited to 12 kids. You may register in-person starting Wednesday, January 21st. The earlier you sign-up, the sooner you can start reading! Copies of the book will be available for check-out at the Cumberland Public Library. Please bring your library card.

Do you love reading? Do you love talking about books? Do you love eating cookies? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” (and who doesn’t love stories & sugar?), we think you’ll also love our "Milk & Bookies" Book Club. Each meeting, we talk about a different book and stuff our faces with delicious, themed-cookies. This month, on Wednesday, April 8th from 6-7pm, we’ll discuss Tui & Kari Sutherland’s The Menagerie. It’s a book populated by all manner of creatures (Unicorns, dragons, and griffins. Oh my)!

This program is for children in 3rd - 5th grades only.

Space is limited to 12 kids. You may register in-person starting Wednesday, March 4th. The earlier you sign-up, the sooner you can start reading! Copies of the book will be available for check-out at the Cumberland Public Library. Please bring your library card.
