Learn how to (safely) run up walls, hurdle benches, take corners, all without losing speed. This two hour workshop presented by Dylan Polin of Massachusetts, will cover warmups, an introduction to safety, teach the basics, and end with a cool down period and Q & A session. Come wearing sneakers and clothes for motion. This program is sponsored by CHIP: the Community Health and Information Partnership. Registration is required for this event but space is not limited. We’ll arrive around 8, but the sun is not scheduled to set until after 8:15. You may also want to bring a reclining lawn chair, bug spray and binoculars. If it rains or the skies are overcast, the Star Walk is canceled. Children will drop off a stuffed animal for a library sleepover. You, the teen babysitter, will give the stuffed friend a bedtime story and a tuck in, and document all the adventures a stuffed animal can get up to during the night (in truth until 8pm) so when the children return the next morning to pick up their stuffed friend, they will also receive a scrapbook of their nighttime library adventures. Registration is required for teens, children and stuffed friends.
