    On Tuesdays during income tax season, beginning February 2 and ending April 12, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers will provide tax preparation services at the Elizabethville Area Library. Registration is (see below). Walk-in service will not be available at the library sites.

Tax-Aide volunteers are IRS trained and certified, and will prepare and e-file federal, state (including property tax/rent rebate), and local income taxes for low- to middle-income taxpayers of all ages, especially those 60 and older. You will receive a printed copy of each return filed for you. All services are provided free of charge, thanks to support from the AARP Foundation, the IRS, and now the Dauphin County Library System.

To find out what documents you need to bring, please visit www.aarp.org/taxaide and look for “Important Documents to Bring to the Tax-Aide Site.”

The Elizabethville Area Library appointments will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the last will be at 1:30 p.m. Registration begins on January 19. Please call 717-566-0949, ext. 217, on or after that date to reserve a time slot.

    Designed as a companion program to 123 Play with Me. In this program children and grown-ups continue to Learn and Play together. Simple art activities, toys, and sharing with others will help children strengthen motor and social skills, while being encouraged in early reading to foster a love of books. *This project has been (partially) funded with federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds administered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.     Join registered therapy dogs for a fun session of reading. This special program encourages children of all reading levels to read to the easiest and most willing audience – a dog. We provide the server and game-- all you need to join us is your own Windows or Macintosh based laptop and your own Minecraft account and password. A Minecraft account can be set up onlne for under $30.00. Some experience encouraged. This 90 minute long program has a registration limit of 20. Please register separately for each week.
