    Youth, ages 11 up are invited to perform a Reader's Theater program as part of this year’s Summer Reading Program. What's Reader's Theater? It's a play where you act out a role, but you read your part from the script so you don't need to memorize any words. It's fun! You will need to attend three rehearsal sessions. Then, you will perform for a preschool audience at a special performance. Discover what it is like to be a reading role model.

    You can't sleep over at the library, but your favorite stuffed animal can! Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal (only one per child please) to the library the day before this program and come back to pick their furry friend up the next day at this program. Wait until you see what your favorite friend was up to during thier night at the library.

    Join certified therapy dogs for a fun session of reading. These dogs and their owners love to be read to. This is a special program that encourages children who may be reluctant readers to read to the easiest and most willing audience, a dog. Each child will have an opportunity to read to the dog for about 15 minutes. Registration for this program is by appointment.
