    Contact: Rachee Fagg   610-623-0239 ext 304   lacsd@delcolibraries.org

Caryn Lin, the electric violinist, presents Bach 2 Rock!

This program presents the simplicity of the solo acoustic violin and its origins demonstrated by performing a simple Bach minuet. Whisked into present day, Caryn uses the five string electric violin and sound effects to transcend that "solo" sound by doing what is called "looping" creating sound loops live that she adds to and embellishes, playing in essence, live duos and trios with herself. This 3 dimensional sound magic is performed right before your eyes!! Plus, with the addition of her sound technician demonstrating and looping electronic drums and guitar... all performed through a full professional sound system. Audiences of ALL ages are captivated. Students are always included and anxious to participate on stage.

Program lasts approximately 45 minutes. Grades K-12

This show will be held at The Twentieth Century Club located 84 S Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050

All ages welcome, large groups PLEASE call 610-623-0239 ext 304 or e-mail lacsd@delcolibraries.org to register.

This program was made possible through a generous grant from the Lansdowne Allied Youth Council.

In Conquest: into the Future, players will take the roll of a leader of a nation. In this roll, each player will be challenged to advance their nation politically, economically, culturally, technologically, and through military might and expansion. Players will be presented with realistic problems of state as they compete against each other to become the dominant world power in the previously mentioned areas.

As this game is set more than a hundred years in the future, it will explore current world situations and technologies and see how they influence the world stage. This also gives the players a chance to explore and experiment with hypothetical situations and to see how changes in politics, economics, etc. effect the world.

Piccirillo Sciencetelling is a New Jersey-based organization offering interactive programs that use science experiments to tell stories.

Each high-energy program is performed by a Scienceteller (a combination Scientist and Storyteller) to create a fun, unexpected, and unforgettable experience where science is taught through stories.  It is through this synergy of science and storytelling that Piccirillo Sciencetelling engages the audience, by combining these seemingly different ideas and using the resulting reaction to educate and entertain!
