My Journey with a Pair of Great Horned Owls

Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2pm

Pamela Dimeler, photographer and amateur naturalist will present a multimedia presentation entitled "My Journey with a Pair of Great Horned Owls" on Wednesday October 29th at 2:00 P.M.  Pam has been observing the activities of these owls for two years and has studied and documented their various behaviors.  Pam will share her observations through photography and video clips including examples of preening, flying, stretching, and even hooting duets between King Tuft and Queen Athena.  You do not want to miss this exciting, educational and very unique program!

EVERY STORY IS A JOURNEY
 
Christine Schroth's performance character, THE STORY SATCHEL LADY, brings culturally diverse fairy tales, legends, folk tales, and children's literature to life. Created to nurture a child's imagination through live performance, story telling and puppetry, each event is designed to engage and entertain. When the STORY SATCHEL opens, expect the unexpected! This program is for 3-8 year olds and registration is required. 
 
*Please note: Christine Schroth is requesting your permission to videotape this performance for use on her demo reel. Permission slips will be sent to you in the event that your child happens to be taped.

Last Chance is the folk-roots fusion and bluegrass duo of singer-songwriter Jack Scott and fiddler-vocalist Ingrid Rosenback. The duo performs Jack's original songs, fiddle music, and traditional songs.  Jack plays 5-string banjo and guitar, and Ingrid plays fiddle.  Last Chance appears throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties at festivals, library events, senior centers, bookstores and other venues.
