“Once there were four lads: John [Hancock], Paul [Revere], George [Washington], and Ben [Franklin]. Oh yes, there was also Tom [Jefferson], but he was annoyingly independent and hardly ever around. These lads were always getting into trouble for one reason or another. In other words, they took a few...liberties. And to be honest, they were not always appreciated. This is the story of five little lads before they became five really big Founding Fathers.”

Provided by the Colonial Plantation, this program features a reading of the book John, Paul, George & Ben. Then participants will get to try on colonial clothes, play with colonial toys and games, and sign their own name—or draw a picture—on the Declaration of Independence with a real quill pen! Our Own Stories

In this nontraditional Preschool Story Time, books are read to preschoolers who love to read!  Songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and toys are used to help kids learn and love to read.  At the end of story time the kids are invited to put laminated pieces on a scene board and tell everyone their story that they created.  A great way to encourage imagination, creativity, and story-building!

Registration is NOT required. Tuesdays at 1:30pm

(Children learn best through role modeling. Caregivers are asked to be great role models and be attentive and engaged in the story time. Side conversations can take place during free play. Thanks!)
