Ahoy! People don’t just build on land. They build on water, too! Set sail with us on a thrilling action-packed adventure about a crew of quirky pirates marooned on a desert island. With mutiny and high-tide looming, they must rescue their salty captain and find a way to construct a ship before all hope is lost … at sea! Throughout the story, volunteers from the audience will help us explore the incredible science behind clouds, combustion, air pressure, scientific variables and more! Do not miss this refreshing nautical tale with a twist!

This program addresses Next Generation Science Standards PS1 (A-B) PS2 and PS3.

Today's Family Fun Show: Puppets Pizzazz

This puppet show is set up as a variety show with over twenty-five professional hand puppets used to perform nine funny songs and humorous skits. In between each act, there is an MC puppet who tells jokes and riddles. Each song or skit is only about two or three minutes long, so it is easy to hold the children’s attention- including toddlers! What makes Puppets Pizzazz puppet shows different is that they take popular music from today’s artists and they put a satirical spin on it.

Family Fun Shows are suitable for ages 3-10, but all are welcome to join the fun.

Shows are free, and registration is not required.

     From brianrichardsmagic.com:

"I love to laugh. Don't you? Of course you do! Who doesn't?? It's such a great feeling and so good for the mind, body and soul. But, I discovered at a very young age that there is something that I love even more than laughing. It's making others laugh.

When I was 4 years old, my family would go to my grandfather's house in Camden, NJ. My grandfather (Dziadzi) would take me down to his basement where he made a special "theater" for me out of sheets, clothesline, and beach chairs. He would say, "You stay here and prepare an act and later we will come down and watch your show." It was a clever trick for keeping me out of everyone's hair. However, it began a love and passion deep inside me for being an ENTERTAINER.

I eventually realized that my niche was entertaining people with the combination of magic and comedy.  And guess who I love entertaining the most?  You guessed it...kids and families!!"

All ages invited. FREE because the library is awesome!!!!
