		Start summer off with a bang! If you haven't already, sign up for teh Summer Reading Program and join us for an evening of fun with children's musician Harley Smith, face painting, and bouncy houses in MacGregor Park. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be held in the Adams Memorial Building. This event is co-sponsored by Derry Parks and Recreation, the Derry Public Library, and the Taylor Library.

		The Adult Summer Reading Program for Derry this year features the theme "Digging into Derry." TJ Culinane of the Friends of Forest Hill Cemetery will discuss The Forest Hill Cemetery, Civil War Veterans buried there, and the various projects to restore damaged headstones and to document the buiral plots within the Cemetery for researcher access. This program will be especially interesting to Derry Histori fans who might like to volunteer to assist with these projects. Registration is requested, but not required.

		The Adult Summer Reading Program for Derry this year features the theme "Digging into Derry." Karen Blandford-Anderson,of the Derry Heritage Commission and the Derry Museum of History, will speak about the history of the portrait of Elizabeth McGregor, the daughter of Molly and General Reid and the great-great-great grandaughter of Staff Faithful. Come hear the fascinating story about the family and where the portrait travelled to get back to Derry. Registration is requested, but not required.
