		Dighton Public Library's Book Discussion Group is meeting to chat about Hillary Jordan's acclaimed debut novel, *Mudbound*. Mudbound is her nickname for the new farm in the Mississippi Delta that Laura moves to with her new husband in post World War II America. Laura has difficulty adjusting to life without electricity, indoor plumbing, readily accessible medical care for her two children and, worst of all, life with her live-in misogynous, racist, father-in-law. Her days become more bearable as she gets to know the family of her African-American tenant farmers and her brother-in-law, just home from the War.
