Celebrate Black History Month at the Easton Public Library!

Instructor Kwame Henry Jones will teach song and drumming in this interactive family event.  Bringing traditional and some non-traditional African drums, Kwame will have plenty of instruments for everyone to play.  We’ll sing, dance, learn and share!

Stephen Spignesi’s “Hip-Hop Hamilton” program is a 90-minute illustrated lecture that provides fascinating facts about 12 of America’s founders.  The program includes a slideshow, and also the playing and discussion of two songs from the musical, with the lyrics provided.  Attendees also receive a tri-fold, color, signed limited edition “Hip-Hop Hamilton” brochure, along with a signed book card.  Frameable copies of the Declaration of Independence are available for sale with all proceeds going to the Library.  Stephen Spignesi is a retired Practitioner in Residence from the University of New Haven and the author of more than 70 books.  Signed copies of 499 Facts About Hip-Hop Hamilton will be available for purchase.
