*This first meeting is at a SPECIAL time; we will normally meet @ 7PM.

The library’s teen advisory board (open to 6th graders and up) meets on the 1st Monday of the month at 7PM (Oct- June).  Thegroup advises the YA Librarian on what books to buy for the collection, programs to plan, and other special projects. There are alot of extracurricular activities that prevent teens from  attending every meeting, that certainly doesn't mean you can’t attend when you are free! Snacks will be provided. 
        There are many spaces available.

This presentation is perfect for anyone trying to navigate our complicated healthcare system for older adults. It will help those who already have Medicare, as well as people soon to be 65, planning their retirement, or assisting relatives and friends with their medical decisions.  

The program explains the various parts of Medicare and lays out the costs associated with the medical and drug insurance provided by the government and private companies. Topics will include original Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, prescription drug plans (Part D), Medigaps (supplemental plans), and cost-saving programs like EPIC that can help seniors with limited resources.

The second half of the program will be open to discussion.  As there has been much interest in creating and performing a play based on a popular children's book (as we did last year), anyone who would be interested in taking part in such a play is encouraged to attend!
