WEBS Career & Educational Counseling Service, a program of the Westchester Library System, will present “Hire Me! Keys to a Winning Job Interview” on a Wednesday night, May 10th, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the Eastchester Public Library.

This is a free workshop conducted by a professional job counselor.  Participants will learn how to understand the latest trends in interviewing, including “behavior-based questions.”  They will also hear how to overcome their fears, develop confidence, and avoid the most common interview mistakes.

This is a general interest meeting for Children and Teens entering Grades 4 - 10 in the Fall of 2017 (and their parents) who are interested in participating in the 2017 Westchester Library System Battle of the Books.

BOB is a fast-paced trivia competition.  Participants are expected to read five books, and commit to be a part of a team which will hold regular practices between June and October.  This all leads up to a county-wide event, held at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose on Saturday, October 21st, 2017.

Online pre-registration is suggested.  If you cannot make the meeting but are still interested in participating, please contact Jonathan at jheifetz@wlsmail.org or Amelia at abuccarelli@wlsmail.org.

NOTE: This meeting will be held upstairs in the Children's Room.

This month's Reading Buddies Book Club for 2nd & 3rd Grade will be in a Show & Tell format.

Participants will be asked to bring 1 - 5 books that they have read recently, and enjoyed, to share with the group.  They should try to "hook" the others on the book - no spoilers!

Open to all, no pre-registration required. Refreshments will be served.
