Local photographer Len Sanchez will lead this monthly group to provide an opportunity for photographers to learn more about their art.

Each month the group will explore a specific topic with an assignment and hold an informal "contest". Use your imagination based on the topics... it's completely up to you and anything is fair game, the more imaginative, the better and if you want to combine the two... go for it! Images may be presented as prints (8X10 or larger) or on a memory stick to be shown on a computer.

Assignment : Shallow depth of field

Photo Contest Subject : Still Life

If you are interested in learning more about photography, bring your camera and your imagination.
    Location: Alley Room

    Contact: Cindy Dubinski   845-221-9943 x225   dubinski@eflibrary.org
Hopewell resident Waheeda Soomro will be here to talk about her first novel Unspoken.

UNSPOKEN is a vividly drawn picture of innocent love, loss, and the too-real pain and sacrifice that women have had to bear silently for generations. The story follows two generations of Indian women, and it is through their eyes that we are drawn into a world where women are still expected to be invisible, silent victims. UNSPOKEN pulls at this veil of weakness that women have been forced to wear. Through the voices of Sharmeen, Nadia, and Fatima, UNSPOKEN gives a new face of courage to today's strong, wise, educated women.
