    The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a community based, recreational exercise program designed to promote physical, social and mental well being. It is particularly suitable for those who have arthritis and for seniors. Exercises may be preformed seating or standing. The exercises helps build strength, flexibility and stamina. The program is offered in one-hour sessions and taught by an instructor trained by the Arthritis Foundation.

At Cordon Bleu she discovers that she has a passion for cooking. In 2002, Julie Powell (Adams) about to turn 30 and underemployed with an unpublished novel, decides to cook her way through "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in a year and decides to blog about it. We go back and forth between the stories of these two women learning to cook.

Due to the nature of storytimes, the Sign w/ Me: Mommy and me, Tater Tots (American Sign Language programs), and book club programs, i.e. a progressive build up to literacy, only Elmont Library card holders who are registered for these programs may attend. If a storytime, ASL program, or book club has a full registration, please note that you will not be able to participate, even if there are openings on any particular day.
