After a disastrous attempt in 2013 in which he damaged his boat and could have lost his life, Chuck Horbert and three other companions became the first paddlers to ever paddle the length of Rhode Island.  They paddled north to south in July of 2014, from Woonsocket to Westerly, using a primarily inland route, camping along the way. Their route took him right past East Providence on the Seekonk River. Come learn about canoe camping and be inspired to plan your own outdoor adventures as you relive the trip with him during a slide show of their historic adventure.
