Summer is almost here and our Librarians are ready to begin our Summer Reading Club.  This year’s theme, “On Your Mark, Get Set. Read!” ties in with Fitness/Health/Wellness and the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Come One Come All – Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff Carnival presented by Small World Productions!

Flyers with all the summer program information will be available in the Library the week of June 13 and sign up for the Summer Reading Club and Kickoff event will begin on Monday, June 20.

Sign up for all other programs will start on Friday, June 24, either online or in the Library.

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk (CT)

The bus will leave the Library at 8:00 am

Spend the day at this nationally recognized aquarium that lets you get close to sharks, seals, river otters, jellyfish, sea turtles and other species native to Long Island Sound and its watershed.  Watch the meerkats and seals frolicking within their natural habitat.  The sharks in the Open Ocean exhibit are amazing to watch, as well as the rays, which are in a touch tank.  You can also take a walk and explore the beautiful Connecticut shoreline. Cost includes travel by luxury coach bus and admission to the Museum for a cost of $32 for children and $35 for adults.  If you wish to experience the I-Max Theater, the total cost is $36 for children and $40 for adults.  Sign up begins on Monday, May 9 in the Library and closes on Friday, July 15.  Please make checks or money orders payable to the Glen Cove Library Bus Trip Fund.
