Take a leap into the unknown by going on a Blind Date with a Book. Visit the display on the 2nd floor and pick up a book, audio or downloadable to take home with you, sight unseen. The selections will be wrapped to discourage "judging a book by its cover!"  Whether it's poetry, adventure, mystery or biography, each book will hold a sweet surprise as well as a "Rate Your Date" form to let us know how the date went. Are you willing and open to trying something new? Take a chance and you just might fall in love!

The Blank Page is a writing group for the beginner to the experienced, and meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

A 6-Week Reading Program

While our friend Huck is wintering in Florida, we are excited to welcome “Molly” a newly-certified reading therapy dog for our six-week program which is designed to encourage readers at all levels to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on a regular basis at the Library. Reading times will be at 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15 Wednesday evenings.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.

Participants must register for each meeting separately. Registration for each meeting will begin on the date of the previous meeting. For Goffstown Public Library Cardholders. Young adults age high school and up are welcome to participate.

  • Elizabethan Era recipes - this specially themed event gives a nod to the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. Choose from a variety of cookbooks this month.

Books are distributed on a 1st come, 1st served basis. In the case of limited books, a copy of the book will be on reserve for use at the library.
