The Goffstown Public Library is proud to be a local drop off site for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

The Foundation is in need of new and unwrapped toys for all ages, but especially TEENS. Please consider sporting equipment, puzzles, hand held video games, craft kits, remote control cars, makeup and nail polish, and art supplies. A large box will be available in the Library foyer for you to bring your donations of new, unwrapped toys this year. The toys will then be distributed in our own area for those children and teens in need.

The Goffstown and Pinardville Lions Clubs, in conjunction with the Goffstown Public Library, have been coordinating the Gold Star / Blue Star tree that will be installed and lit in front of the Library this holiday season. Stop by to add a loved one's name to the star corresponding to the appropriate color designation which is shown below:

The stars and their respective colors represent the following:
     Gold/Yellow Star - killed in action
     Blue Star - has served/ currently serving
     Red Star - injured in action
     Black Star - POW/MIA

Please stop by the third floor of the Library to personalize your stars.

Be sure to pick up your tickets between Thursday, November 17 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29. Tickets not claimed by 8:00 p.m. on November 29 will be released to families on the waiting list.

The day of the event: Please remember that the reading itself is only about 10 minutes long and there is no admittance after the train has left the station. Ticket holders should be seated 5 minutes prior to their scheduled time.

Toys for Tots donations will be accepted at the Goffstown Public Library.

Cookie Swap Guidelines:

  • Space is limited; registration is required.
  • All cookies must be homemade, baked and the main ingredient must be flour.
  • No plain chocolate chip cookies, cookie mixes, no-bakes, meringues, or brownies.
  • Bring 5 dozen cookies.
  • Share your recipe with us before December 8th by dropping off a copy at the Library or email it to sandyw@goffstownlibrary.com.
