StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for families to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Our 2016 StoryWalk® is Bug Safari by Bob Barner and is installed on the Goffstown Rail Trail, starting at the Parks and Recreation Department on Mast Road.

Liberty House assists and advocates for homeless veterans all across our state. Homeless veterans face unique challenges and it’s our turn to extend a helping hand. We will be collecting new and gently used backpacks, nonperishable food and other items for Liberty House that we will deliver.

Participants will prepare a depression-era recipe to share and discuss with the group. From hobo tin foil dinners, SPAM® dishes or Grandma's Great Depression Cake, cooks from that time period had to find creative ways to feed their families.

Attendees may choose to research recipes on their own or check out a limited number of cookbooks or recipes made available at the library. Registration is required.

A 6-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Huck” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers at all levels to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Huck on a regular basis at the Library. Reading times will be at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15 Wednesday evenings.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.

Our certified reading therapy dog “Huck” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers at all levels to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Huck on a regular basis at the Library. Reading times will be at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15 Wednesday evenings.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.
