When you drop off needed items at the Library, we'll deliver them to the Food Pantry.
The list: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste/mouthwash/dental floss, toothbrushes, razors for women and men, shaving cream, moisturizers, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and baby wipes.

a NH Humanities Council eventIn this illustrated talk, NH Humanities presenter Maria Sanders explores how ideas of happiness have changed in Western civilization through the ages, while comparing and contrasting major concepts of well-being throughout the world.

Participants will be invited to discuss various definitions, current measures for assessing self-reported levels of happiness, specific findings reported as increasing people’s levels of happiness, and happiness projects undertaken by entire communities.

Molly the Reading Therapy DogA 5-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Molly” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers entering kindergarten through gr. 5 to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.

Molly the Reading Therapy DogA 5-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Molly” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers entering kindergarten through gr. 5 to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.

The Immigrant/Refugee Experience

Join us for a documentary and discussion tackling the issues of belonging and citizenship.

"Uprooted: Heartache and Hope in New Hampshire" is a 30 minute documentary following the story of 5 refugees who were resettled in NH. Produced by the Center for the Humanities at the University of New Hampshire, the film explores what it means to be a refugee and how it feels to make a new life in a strange place. A Q&A session will immediately follow the film. Guest speakers Tilak Niroula and Suraj Budathoki, recipients of the Union Leader’s 40 Under 40 Award, will share their experiences as Bhutanese refugees who now make their home in this state.
