Build a Better World with the GPLPersonal Care Item Drive for Goffstown Network Food Pantry

When you drop off needed items at the Library, we'll deliver them to the Food Pantry.
The list: soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste/mouthwash/dental floss, toothbrushes, razors for women and men, shaving cream, moisturizers, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and baby wipes.

This is a 2-part art experience with Ms. Patti & Ms. Doreen on July 11 & 25. Participants must attend both sessions to complete their project. On July 11 we'll create a simple paper mache project and then paint and decorate it at the following session on July 25.

Molly the Reading Therapy DogA 5-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Molly” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers entering kindergarten through gr. 5 to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15.

This interactive presentation of some of nature’s best architects such as beavers, ospreys and more is facilitated by the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. This is a hands-on, informative presentation with each participant building their own osprey nest platform.

Demonstration by Hokuto Taiko Dojo from Concord, NH. All ages welcome.

Experience the ancient art form of Japanese drumming known as "Wadaiko" or "Taiko". With a history that goes back 2,000 years, these drums were used throughout Japanese culture and still hold an important connection to the old ways of Japan. They have evolved to a beautiful and powerful stage art, requiring a combination of focus and technique.

This event will take place outdoors, please bring a chair or a blanket. RAIN DATE: Tuesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Molly the Reading Therapy DogA 5-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Molly” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers entering kindergarten through gr. 5 to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15.

Registration is required. To sign your child up for a 15 minute reading session call 497-2102 or stop by the Children’s Room.

Participants will be invited to discuss various definitions, current measures for assessing self-reported levels of happiness, specific findings reported as increasing people’s levels of happiness, and happiness projects undertaken by entire communities.

Molly the Reading Therapy DogA 5-Week Reading Program

Our certified reading therapy dog “Molly” is returning for our weekly program which is designed to encourage readers entering kindergarten through gr. 5 to practice their skills in a judgment-free environment.
 
Children will have the opportunity to schedule 15 minutes of one-on-one reading with Molly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 & 7:15.
