Preschool Storytime is a 30-minute program for children ages 3.5-5.  Join us as we share stories, songs, felt board fun, and movement activities. 

The program will run on 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10 & 10/17.

The Children’s Room will be CLOSED for the duration of this program. A selection of materials will be available in the Main Reading Room.

* Registration Required. Registration will open 2 weeks prior to the event. Participants must commit to attending all 6 sessions.

Children are always welcome at the library.  However, the library is a public building and very busy on a daily basis.  For the protection and well-being of children, the Grafton Public Library has established an Unattended Child Policy.

The GPL Mystery Book Group meets to discuss Ghost Times Two by Carolyn Hart.

Description: Bailey Ruth Raeburn's latest mission is to guide the happy-go-lucky spirit of a deceased young man named Jimmy to the next life. But Jimmy is determined to watch over his still-living girlfriend Megan, whom he wants to be happy even without him--which is easier said than done. As if being haunted by her late boyfriend wasn't enough, Megan is dealing with an arrogant, manipulative senior partner who threatens to fire Megan's vulnerable secretary if Megan accepts a partnership at another law firm. She's in an impossible bind. Since Jimmy refuses to move on while Megan is being blackmailed, Bailey Ruth agrees to help him. But after the partner turns up dead and Megan is found at the crime scene, Bailey Ruth and Jimmy have to find a way to uncover a killer before the love of Jimmy's life is ordered to spend a lifetime behind bars..

Toddler Time is a 30-minute program for children who are walking-age 3 years. 

We will share stories, sing songs, enjoy movement activities, and recite rhymes and finger plays together.

This is a drop-in program; registration is not required.

The Children’s Room will be CLOSED for the duration of this program. A selection of materials will be available in the Main Reading Room.

Please note our Storytime Policy: If there is no school, storytime programs are cancelled. If there is a half-day of school, morning storytimes are cancelled.

Library Babies is a 20-minute program for our very youngest visitors, ages birth-walking. Join us as we read stories, sing songs, recite favorite nursery rhymes, and interact with the babies using bounces and finger plays.

The Library is offering a 4-week class session titled “Getting to Know Your Ukulele.” This class will be taught by Jan Barlow of Apple Tree Arts and is for beginners ages 13 and up – teens and adults. The classes will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, and will meet at One Grafton Common, Grafton, MA. Particpants must commit to attending all 4 classes. This free class is limited to 12 participants. Participants need to bring a ukulele to the class. The Library has 3 ukuleles available to check out for the course of the session.

The group is open to writers age 16 and up, and is held in the Main Reading Room of the Library, facilitated by Tasha and Stephen Halpert.

Silly Science @ UniBank is a 45 minute storytime program for children ages 3-5 years. Join us for a STEM- themed storytime that features math and science themes. 

Registration is required for this program. The program will run on 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2 ,10/16 & 10/23. Participants must commit to the entire 6 week session.

The Inspirational Book Group meets to discuss Find the Good : unexpected life lessons from a small-town obituary writer by Heather Lende.

Description: As the obituary writer in a spectacularly beautiful but often dangerous spit of land in Alaska, Lende knows something about last words and lives well lived. Now she's distilled what she's learned about how to live a more exhilarating and meaningful life into three words: find the good. It's that simple-- and that hard. Lende reminds us that we can choose to see any event as an opportunity to find the good.

A 15-minute guided meditation (optional) concludes the program.

Silly Science @ UniBank is a 45 minute storytime program for children ages 3-5 years. Join us for a STEM- themed storytime that features math and science themes. 

Registration is required for this program. Participants must commit to the entire 5 week session.
