Brush up on your strumming skills or learn new chords with the Ukulele Course online at ArtistWorks, for free! A library card is required to access.

The Inspirational Book Group meets to discuss Option B : facing adversity, building resilience, and finding joy by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant.

Description: After the sudden death of her husband, Sandberg felt certain that she and her children would never feel pure joy again. Grant, a friend, told her there are concrete steps people can take to recover and rebound from life-shattering experiences. Here they combine personal insights with research on finding strength in the face of adversity. Resilience comes from deep within us and from support outside us. Even after the most devastating events, it is possible to grow by finding deeper meaning and gaining greater appreciation in our lives.

Just because Silly Science is on hiatus, doesn't mean you can’t have STEAM fun with GPL. Stop by the library every Monday to grab your go-bag with a fun STEAM-themed activity. Some you can complete in the library, and some you’ll need to complete at home. Don’t forget to take pictures of your projects and send them to us!
