Poet Faye George will read from her latest collection, Voices of King Philip’s War, a sequence of dramatic monologues drawn from the tragic history of the devastating 17th-century conflict that swept New England, bringing death, destruction, and the consequent demise of the Woodland peoples of this region. The reading will be followed by a general discussion of the history of King Philip's War and questions and answers about the creation of the poems.
