Ages 13+ and Adults -- Skill: Beginner to Intermediate -- It's not just for kids! We have retiree's who have opted to start doing their memoirs in comic book form!
Jazz, Rock and Roll and Comic Books are the ONLY artforms created in the United States. Born out of comic strips in the 1930s comic books became increasingly popular with GI's during WWII and have grown and developed in the 80+ years since they first appeared.
Include lessons on creating characters using shape, art styles, cover a brief history of the artform and then feature a hands on HOW-TO demo.
We will take an in depth look at the history of American comics, followed by a hands on workshop offering techniques and tricks, advanced storytelling, lettering, sound effects and inking tips.
