The Glocester Libraries Walking Club kicks off the 2020 season with a new destination!  Wolf Hill Forest Preserve is a Smithfield Land Trust property offering several miles of beautiful trails, including the World War II Memorial Trail.  We will meet at the trailhead on Waterview Drive in Smithfield (Waterview Drive is next to the Smithfield Police Station).  Parking is allowed on Waterview Drive.

For the most part, we will be walking single-file on narrow trails making it easier to follow social distancing guidelines.  Please bring a mask, though, for those occasions when we take a break and chat. Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent.  Be aware that trails of this type typically feature sections with rocks, stumps, and tree roots to maneuver.

Please register for each individual walk that you plan to attend.

    Location: Wolf Hill Forest Preserve
        There are 15 spaces available.

Ponaganset High School Cross Country Trail at 91 Anan Wade Road. We will meet at the former middle school parking lot.  This is the lot that is furthest to the right at the school complex (next to the athletic fields.)

Used by the PHS Cross Country Team and host to the State Cross Country Championships, wide and well-groomed trails boast three bridges and one beautifully crafted covered bridge.  Ambitious walkers can finish their hike with a lap or two around the high school track!
