Yoga classes for Seniors sponsored by Shirley Recreation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 tonight in the library meeting room.
This class is designed to relieve stress, & build body and mind awareness in a safe and authentic way.
Participants should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat to class.

Cost: $35 for Shirley residents / $40 for non-residents. Registration forms available at Library and Town Hall.
Make checks payable to Town of Shirley Recreation and mail to 7 Keady Way, Shirley MA 01464.

Registration deadline: July 5, 2017

Drop-In Rate: $5 per Class
All drop-ins must complete a registration form before participating.

Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice provides a safe and comfortable environment for adults to express the thoughts and feelings you may experience due to the loss of a loved one. Joining a grief support group can be a healthy step in your journey of grieving and healing.

This is an ongoing drop-in session for adults seeking support during the grieving process. Topics of coping and living with grief will be discussed.

Support groups are facilitated by hospice professionals or volunteers trained in bereavement. If counseling is needed beyond the level of this support group, a list of competent professional counselors can be provided.

Registration is not required. There is no fee to join.

Reiki practitioner Karen Regan is offering a free 20-minute reiki session to anyone interested in trying it for the first time. 

What is Reiki? Reiki is a laying of hands healing that channels energy to a person laying fully clothed on a massage table. You can wear anything at all, from work clothes to work out clothes. Reiki relieves blocked energy and imbalances to support healing and well-being. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace security and well-being.

Each person experiences something different during a Reiki session. The treatment is unique to each person.

Benefits of Reiki: Deep Relaxation; Improves Sleep; Energizes you physically and emotionally; Reduces Stress; Releases Emotional wounds; Promotes healing.
