The AARP DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE will be offered in two sessions, Tuesday, December 15th and Thursday, December 17th, 2009 from 1:00PM – 5:00PM. Successful completion of this class will remove up to 4 points from your driving record, entitles you to an insurance discount, and make you a better driver. Registration must be done in person. There is a fee of $12.00 per person for AARP Members and $14.00 per person for non-AARP Members at the time of registration, checks or money orders payable to AARP. If you are an AARP Member, you must present your AARP Membership Card at the time of registration. Hempstead Village residents may register starting on Monday, November 30th. Non-residents may register beginning Monday, December 7th. Class size is limited. Bring lunch or a snack. The class will meet in the Community Room. Join MaryAnn Scheblein-Dawson of PaperPlay as she instructs you how to make decorative holiday ornaments using the ancient Japanese art of paper folding known as origami. Use your own creativity to add a festive touch to your holiday décor or give as a lovely holiday gift! This program will be held in the Community Room. Registration is required for this free program.
