Planning on giving gifts this Holiday Season? Need a jump start? Come to the HPL on December 5th from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. for free, environmentally friendly, crafts you can make yourself! Don't worry about not being able to finish your project in one day, we're doing the same thing next Saturday, December 12th! For grades 6-8. Feel free to bring your craft projects from home as well. Registration is requested, but not required. Please contact Sarah Foster with any questions.

Come on out to the HPL on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m and learn to paint with artist Laurie Lafleur. Ages 10 and up are welcome. This class meets in the lower level of the library Please bring your own supplies: Acrylic Paint (palette should have air tight caps and stored in freezer between painting sessions) in the following hues: Yellow Ochre Cadmium Yellow Pale Cadmium Red Medium Alizarin Crimson Ultramarine Blue Thalo Blue (Phthalocyanine) White Black Brush/es of one’s choosing (Round brush should have a sharp point when wet, flat brush should have a sharp edge) Painting support/surface (Canvasette/illustration board/cardboard) Mixing surface (plastic plate) Water cup Rags/paper towels Class size is limited, registration is required. We'll be decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, Dec. 12th. There will also be hot cocoa, crafts, singing and holiday music. We will also be decorating our Christmas Tree that day, too!! This event is for all who believe in Santa.Registration is required. Donations of items are needed.
