A laid back book club that is just right for summer!
During each Art & Audio Book Club we will listen to a few short stories from an audiobook together while doing some relaxing art activities like zentangles, coloring, or paper curling. For the second half of each session we will discuss the book we heard and have some snacks. This is a great way to log some reading time and participate in a social book club without having pre-assigned reading (also. . . snacks!).
This summer we will be listening to stories from At Midnight, edited by Dahlia Adler. This collection features fairy tale reimaginings by 14 incredibly popular and excellent YA authors, so readers will surely discover some new favorites.
Art and Audio Book Club will meet on the following select Wednesdays, from 4-5:00 pm.
- June 26
- July 10
- July 24
Students may register for and attend any combination of the three sessions, and are encouraged to come to all three!
For students entering grades 6-12.
Ready for a bedroom makeover? Have you seen the cool makeover ideas on Pinterest and TikTok but are not sure how to make it happen in your room? This hands-on makeover class is for you. Beth Allen, DIY expert and interior decorator, will teach you how to tackle a bedroom makeover on a budget. We'll chat about paint colors, fabrics, wallpaper, lighting, wall decor and more. Practice putting in a wall anchor with a power drill to hang your stuff and learn how to match paint with fabrics and accessories. Leave with a design plan and skills you need to Do It Yourself.

*This is an outdoor activity. Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the event and wear comfortable walking shoes. In case of poor weather involving lightning, this program will be postponed to a later date.
